Question by josh m: Why is my PS3 making a staticy noise when i play a blu ray movie?
Every time i watch any blu ray movie on my ps3, about 30min to 1 hour into the movie, I start to hear a staticy noise in the background of the movie. I’ve change my settings but it hasn’t work. No matter what, i get the staticy noise. has anyone else experienced this problem? or know how to fix it?

If your PS3 is still in warranty period, have it looked at. It sounds like it has to do with the grounding of the electronic parts is faulty, and thus introducing noise into the audio stream.

If it’s no longer under warranty, you can try to vacuum the exhaust vents to remove the dust that’s accumulated inside, but there’s no guarantee that this will help.
