I’m making a feature length film that I want to submit to festivals. I have a high quality camera, and mics, I just want to know which editing programs will do the job without any quality loss. I don’t need any special effects, or even any fade ins, or outs. Can windows movie maker suffice?

Sure? Why not? After all, Movie maker can speed up, use subtitles and its VERY easy to use.
