i assume most kiwis dont, from their herd and tall poppie behaviour of late……..they find an issue, know nothing about it but get on the bandwagon to attack it – we all know it takes little energy to be negative about things – its easy, did you see the calibare of those against it in Campbells caravan….lol
im all for it, but over the last year its become obvious many kiwis resent the industry and the tall poppie syndrome is strong in them, im wondering if NZ is the right place for the industry,
should Sir Peter just pack up and go where they like sucess and lift people up not try to tear them down with herd thinking? a place where he would be reconised as a genius, a place where they will support becomming a place known around the world for making movies, a place that will embrace millions of dollars in overseas investment, a place that thinks employing people is a good thing,
i think Sir Peter should pack up and go where people understand the importance of a film industry (investment, tourism, jobs, et cetera), he must really love Wellington to stay here and have to battle the small minded people?

Peter Jackson makes unoriginal movies for teenagers and yes he should pack and go abroad where he would relise that he is just another film maker. The way he held this country over a barrel with the movie execs was disgusting. There was never any intention of taking the movies overseas, he exploits his position and should be stripped of his knighthood.
