Question by blackbolt_india: is running my pc almost 18 hours a day going to make processor weak?
i am a student of 3d animation, i use 3ds max,premiere pro, after effects a lot.
i keep downloading all the good tutorials from internet, i have been downloading tutorials, youtube videos, action as well as animated movies since february 2010 almost 14 to 18 hors a day because my downloading speed is 56 kbps i shut down it inbetween for 3 times for half an hour . will over using make my cpu weak ? i have put on a table fan behind the cabinet. config—-Motherboard- Intel DG41,processor- Intel core2quad Q84OO, 4 GB RAM I bought it AUGUST 2009. my parents are not going to buy another computer so soon my cause of concern is that in a month or two my classes of MAYA will be starting what should i do i don’t have money to afford high speed internet connection like 1 or 2 mbps should i stop downloading ? i play games also

bro! Its not the amount of time thats gonna make ur processor slow! But, if the processor’s temperature is high, u might land it in trouble! But as u say u hv used a table fan for its cooling! So its ok I suppose! Another thing, try to clean the processor frm inside after 2-3 weeks! It helps! U can do it wid the help of a hair dryer, or a vaccum cleaner! But dont touch anything, u might damage the motherboard! Evrything else is fine, conguratn is quite gud!
