Question by TRFreak: I’m 16 years old. I’m bi, and there’s this guy I know…I want to know if he’s bi too…?
Over a year ago, I joined this health explorer program for EMTs (you get EMT training and you can ride on an ambulance and go to community events and everything). It was a recruitment time for the program, so there were a lot of new explorers at the meeting, including myself. While I was being shown the inside of an ambulance, I looked over and saw this guy, and he was cute. I was attracted to him at first sight. I later found out that his name was Adam.
Well, as with every guy that I’m “into,” I watched Adam for signs that he might be like me, bi or even gay. The first time I heard him speak neither proved nor disproved my wishes. His voice was guyish but with somewhat of a pitch to where it seems like he has a good amount of girl friends. Plus, when he spoke, the way he spoke and the things he talked about gave off vibes that maybe, just maybe, he was what I thought he was…
A few meetings later, I got to know him while we were getting some city maps ready for the ambulances. We had no problems getting to know each other.
The first community event that I can remember Adam and me doing together was this walking event. After we explorers were done supervising the walkers, we began to walk up towards the picnic area where lunch was being served. As I made my way there, Adam came up behind me, grabbed my ass and said, “Hey sexy.” I was on the phone at the time and just smiled and kinda laughed it off. But that incident really intrigued me…and that wasn’t all…
Our first CPR training produced some interesting happenings. The main attendees were Adam, myself, and this other guy named Yash. During the training, we watched a video on CPR. There were two rows of seats at the back of the room with a door between the two rows. Adam and I were at the ends of the rows. During the movie, he called my name, and I looked over. He had his phone pointed at me to take a picture, just randomly out of nowhere. Is that not a little weird?? Then later, when we were working with dummies, I was making a joke by pounding the dummy’s chest and saying “Breathe!” Adam laughed along, and when I turned to talk to Yash rather than to him, he copied me by pounding the dummy and saying “Breathe!” The way he said it, though, sounded as if he wanted to get my attention and to be cool around me. That may or may not be that weird, but it was something…
There is a good deal more to tell, so I’ll just say the important stuff, stuff that pertains to being bi or gay.
Another event we did was the Relay For Life. We were sitting at the booth where the ambulance was stationed, and Adam and I and this other guy Jesus were messing around and being kinda gay. Apparently Adam and I were saying stuff that was kinda gay, and this older explorer named Alisa said something like, “I am seriously believing that you guys are gay.” I’m not sure if she even said the word “gay,” but it was definitely implied. She was only addressing myself and Adam, and Adam didn’t say anything to this. He simply looked away and kinda smiled it off. I did the same. But wouldn’t a straight guy deny an accusation like that?
We then did another Relay For Life a few months later in a different city. At this event, Adam and I were walking around the track of the football field where the event was. We were just making casual conversation when he points to this guy walking by and says to me, “That guy is gay but he doesn’t know it yet.” And I asked, “How do you know?” And he said, “I can tell when people are gay. Some people can draw, some people can write, I can tell if people are gay.” He then quickly added, “I’m not gay though.” This was quite awkward, since I was hoping he would make some kind of move since we were alone. I don’t even remember what I said back, except that I believe we were silent the rest of our walk.
In addition to him grabbing my ass at our first event, he has done a few more gay things like that to me. I’ll just say this one: we were doing this training thing during one of the meetings where you had to put the patient on a backboard. I was the patient, and Adam volunteered to be the one who holds the patient’s head. So here he was, holding my head, and he begins massaging my ears. He wasn’t trying to be subtle about it; I think other people saw. He was like, “Oh yeah” and stuff. Then I looked up at him and he was staring at me in this very strange way, as if he were trying to tell me something…
Even through all this, I still have some doubts. He does straight things, like plays football and hangs out with guys, but come to think of it, that doesn’t really mean anything.
So, as I said before, there is more to the story, and I will tell more if you want. But the big question is: is he straight or gay or bi or what?
Sorry it’s so long.

If he grabbed your ass and said “hey sexy”, I’d say that is a good sign he is at least bi. Why don’t you ask him?
