How do I become a screenplay writer?

Question by Dddssd Asfafsa: How do I become a screenplay writer?
1. I will be taking a lot of writing classes before I start submitting my scripts so I can improve my grammar.

2. I know it’ll be extremely hard, but how hard will it be to become successful?

3. How much does an average good script sell for? And would they reject me if I asked for small role in the film?

4. If I get a decent agent is their a good chance I’ll be successful?

I only know one person who does movies/tv, but he’s not that famous, but I think that person might help me if my writing is good. I’ve seen a lot of writers make tons of money and their writing is only decent. Writing is something I’m passionate about and if given the opportunity I think I’ll do great. What do I have to do to get my big break? because I don’t think searching for celebrities around Manhattan to give them a copy of my screenplay will work. If I do happen to run into a director who’s interested though, do I make sure my work is copyrighted first?
Hopefully I can get some good answers here. Thanks for your time, guys.

1. Not a question. Grammar can be bad if you want your character to have bad Grammar.

2. Very, it is highly competitive and can be highly political.

3. Depends on the script and experience: Movies get more than TV, but TV can sign you to a contract. Usually, they will allow you to make a cameo in the movie, or give you the small part of a clerk “here’s your change”.

4. You don’t need an agent.

Here is what you need to know. Most new screenplay writers have to have either an “in” into the business or they put there work in to competition. There are hundreds of competitions. If your script wins, you could win $ 10,000 to $ 25,000 plus the amount of purchase from a production studio. They could buy your script from $ 100,000 to $ 250,000 for a movie. If it is a good script and there is a bid war for it, the price could go up. Before putting your work into competition, copyright your work. I suggest you purchase some screenplay software, like Final Draft to help you in your writing. Good Luck.
