I want to make a magazine and I need to put some celebrities, Movies, sport starts and video games photos, so should I take a license to use all these photos or is there a website for free celebrities photos that aren’t copyrighted ? does all magazine in the world have licenses to post celebrities and other public figuers photos ?

Generally speaking, the photographer owns the copyright to a photo. Thus, unless you take the photographs of the celebrities yourself, you may want permission from the photographer.

As for the screenshots of the video games, the copyright owner of the video game may also have rights to those screenshots if you publish them in your magazine. For more information on the legal issues with respect to screenshots, see the link below.

A good general rule of thumb is that if you plan to publish another’s copyrighted material in your magazine, ask for permission first.
