Question by Jochem: Any Movie Making Programs Out There?
Ok, here’s the thing. I have a digital camera that films in MPEG-4 (so it opens with QuickTime Player), but I only have Windows Movie Maker on my laptop and it can’t read MPEG-4 (.mp4) files. I was wondering if anybody knew a program out their like Windows Movie Maker that could read MPEG-4 files so that I can make videos with my recorded films. Also, I am running on Windows XP, if that helps.

First, i would like to congratulate you for realizing that Windblows Movie Maker isn’t vety useful!
There are many different video editing programs similar to WMM, but have way less bugs, the same and more cool effects and transistions, and are compatible with almost every audio/video/image format. The ones I personally have on my computer( I run on ubuntu, but these programs are suere to run great on windows!) are:
-Openshot
-Kdenlive
-Pitivi
-Kino
Others are:
-Avid FreeDV
-Wax
-Zwei-Stein
All listed are 100% free and legal!
