136-174MHz & 400-470MHz Dual-Band The KG-UVD1P is a small personal use radio capable of daul-band operation between 136-174MHz (VHF) and 400-470MHz (UHF). The power output on VHF is 5W and on UHF is 4W. This radio perfomrs very well in the role of personal communications. It will function flawlessly on the GMRS/FRS frequencies and marine radio frequencies, making it ideal for interactions with friends who may be using the GMRS/FRS or marine radios commonly found at Wal-Mart or other stores. This radio also works with most Police radio systems, so you can use it to listen in to your local PD. The KG-UVD1P performs on the 2m and 70cm HAM radio bands as well, and supports duplex operation. Making this little radio a very handy tool for working your local repeaters or satellite operation. The KG-UVD1P can be programmed manually, or by computer.
