I didn’t get a satisfactory answer to my question, so here it is again:
I am looking for a movie that I saw some time ago on the Italian TV. The movie is about a group of fishermen who go fishing somewhere in the Amazon delta, if I remember correctly. They learn that an abandoned ship carrying treasure and explosives is floating somewhere near and they decide to find it, although it may be dangerous. They come across some island with primitive population. An old woman predicts some kind of a giant tidal wave which she refers to as “ororoca” or something that sounds similar. The wave comes and makes devastation. I also remember that eventually they found the ship.
Does anyone know what the title of this movie is? I don’t know any actor that starred in the movie. I guess it was shot in the 1980s.

It is an American movie.
