best movie making software , effects, options?

Question by Darren Black: best movie making software , effects, options?
Im looking for an alternative software for making a short film i made of a photo shop subject.Have used camtasia studio to record and produce one pretty nice video , but i wondered if anyone uses anything with more handy bits , and effects , options

Any help would be much appreciated

I would suggest Vegas Pro Or AVID Liquid, but i prefer Vegas Pro above Liquid by far.
