High times in Brisbane
Brisbane capital of Queensland and the third largest city in Australia has been hammered by natural disasters much like Christchurch. In January deadly floodwaters cut a swath across northeastern Australia, forcing people to flee and swamping 11,900 homes. But the city survives, even though the cost will be immense – the damage is estimated at about $ 600 million.
