The Pole Pivot Transfer.wmv
The pole pivot is a an advanced patient transfer method that requires the patient have the ability to hold the pole. If the patient can hold the pole with one hand the caregiver can use a gait belt and pole to make a simple easy transfer. There is never any lifting with any of the 15 balance pivot transfers and most of the transfer force is supplied by the caregivers own body weight. This prevents lifting which is the major cause of caregiver injuries.
