Opera Colorado singer Ryan Speedo Green wins Met finals
Most opera fans have never heard of Ryan Speedo Green, but that could soon change. The 24-year-old bass-baritone from Suffolk, Va., was one of five winners earlier this month of the Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions. Previous winners include some of the biggest names in the field, including Renee Fleming, Susan Graham and Nathan Gunn.
