Question by Tremaine F: How do I get rid of embarrassing jealousy and envy?
Before i go into details, I am a VERY different person and would describe myself as VERY VERY “weird”.
So I’ll go over the normal one.
I like art, I am good at it, but I have a problem…I’m not used to drawing on computers and I found this site full of artist,GREAT artist and I don’t like when people make better art then me. I don’t hate the artists just that I’m jealous of their skill and envy it. I even have my favorite one, Lionessb from DevianART,the site mentioned earlier.It’s not only art, It goes for almost everything…dancing,art,technology,vocals(that one reallly ticks me off),etc.
This is the embarrassing part…I get jealous over weird stuff i shouldn’t even be giving a fuck about,excuse my french.Like characters in a animation movie or something else fictional,Then i turn into a little wishing i was them or something.This is going to be hard to admit but I need to explain how severe this is, I got jealous over 2 CGI characters from a kids movie making out(please don’t insult me over this,this wasn’t easy for me to tell).I know it’s silly,weird, and stupid and I feel embarrassed getting jealous over stuff like that. Please don’t me how immature and weird i am.just tell me how to stop this.It ruining me.I know it’s Natural to be jealous but this is ridiculous!
I even get jealous over good movies because I haven’t thought it,or because coincidentally did something funny or cool i do or did in real life.
I even got jealous envied a lot of artists because they comments on their flawless art work and skill.and got more jealous and envious just because they replied “thank you”.
last but not least, no,i don’t know why i’m jealous and envious.

Im afraid you are suffering from something we doctors call envesitis. It is where you become a pessimist and see every thing you do as not good enough. to help with this you may need to stop comparison of your work to other peoples
