To give the best help I would have to know whether you are using the old Windows Movie Maker on Windows XP, or the new Windows Live Movie Maker on Windows 7. However, either way you must first save your movie as a video file (.wmv).
With Windows Live Movie Maker, click the blue menu button in the upper left corner, save movie, then chose high-definition, widescreen, or standard-definition. The audio quality should be about the same no matter which one you chose, so you might as well chose standard.
Then you need to use a video conversion program to convert that video file into an .mp3 or .wav to put on your CD. I would recommend RealPlayer SP, which you can find at www.real.com. It includes a converter that works with almost all file types.
An alternative way to convert your video to audio (mp3) is to use the online tool at www.zamzar.com. On this site you can upload a file and convert it into a different file type. The new file will be emailed to you. Simply upload the video file you saved from Windows Movie Maker, and convert it to an mp3. Then you will receive a link in your email to download it.
If you don’t have much experience with these types of things, it will be kind of confusing at first. I tried to make this easy to follow though!
Hope that helps some.
