The North Platte Telegraph Quiet and soft-spoken, Jay “Pilgrim” Lewis of Gothenburg isn’t one to seek attention. It seems to follow him anyway. His weathered face, snow-white beard and smiling eyes are a familiar sight at Nebraskaland Days, where every year he takes an active role in the festivities.
