I can’t stand watching movies with “Smooth Motion” turned on. It makes everything look so fake! How many people actually prefer to watch movies with Smooth Motion? I don’t get the point of this setting. As far as I’m concerned, it might as well be called the “make your movie look fake” setting. Does anyone actually prefer to have this turned on?

The complaints I’ve seen is that it can give the picture a cartoon-like appearance. Since I purchased my HDTV before that technology was introduced, I can’t speak to it myself.
