Do you really want a solution to drug & gun problems Mr. government? read on!!?
Question by sgnilloh: Do you really want a solution to drug & gun problems Mr. government? read on!!?
1st make drugs legal—teach all the children beginning in kinder garden nothing but the negative results of these drugs– show pictures, movies, have guest speakers, drill, drill, drill,at an early age & into graduation. This will work—– but if you take drugs that need to be controlled, this will take away any opportunities for ANY KIND OF HEALTH CARE,no government subsides of any kind, maxium punishment for any crime you commit under the influence. But the pecker heads in Washington are not intrested in this. I’m convinced that the government does not really want to stop illegal use of drugs–i’m not talking about the lower local authorities, but the national authorities. They want control of our guns & the drug problem is their access to it.
Guns do not commit crimes, but people do.All we have to do is enforce the laws that are on the books, but to add to that — just add 25 years to each sentence where a crime has been committed with the use of the fire arm.If there are 1 or a zillion of people committing a crime & only one person is carrying a gun(dont have to point it)everyone in the group gets the same sentence.
The reason we dont have this type of enforcement is because this is feed trough for lawyers to appeal & defend this low life scum.Who pays their tab? You guessed it—the tax payer. Some of these lawyers have actually made a entire living off 1 case at taxpayers expense laughing all the way to the bank.I’ve met some lawyers that have given up their pratice because they felt they have to sell their soul to be successful.Thats a real shame that there are some really good people who want to do whats morally right. How much longer are we going to kid ourselves with these charades.UNCLE SAM WHERE ARE YOU !!!!!

We already do this today, it’s called the Dare program, and it doesn’t work. The younger generation is always skeptical of the previous generations advice, it only learns by making the same mistakes. Legalizing drugs will increase the frequency of those mistakes, only, and your pitch to spread information will probably only increase frequency too.
“but if you take drugs that need to be controlled, this will take away any opportunities for ANY KIND OF HEALTH CARE,no government subsides of any kind, maxium punishment for any crime you commit under the influence”
Won’t work either, such concepts are lost on high schoolers, who have no idea what it is like to work for a living vs. being on welfare and have access to drugs. They could get hooked and it will be too late to help them.

Sentences do not deter criminals, sentences are meant to keep them locked away from the public. Punishment in criminal justice is rarely rehabilitation, more often than not, prison is college for criminals, they hone their skills there.
