Question by krom: Matrix (the movie) was “green”, 300 was “yellow-brown”. How to make this color dominancy?
What is the trick/software that gives this overall coloring to a certain scene. I tried changing the “hue” of my amateur shots, but it looked so artificial. What’s the best software for this “coloring” effect. Can I achieve it with my Sony miniDV camera shots? (or do I need a very professional high end camera?)

Hey there,
You can definitely use your camera what you need is Adobe After Effects and possibly a green screen.
I found a great tutorial explaining how to achieve the 300 look you could adapt it to any color you like. I’ve included all links below.
Speaking of tutorials I found a video tutorial about how to use a green screen.
I also uncovered a couple of great articles and the style guide from the 300 film.
Good luck,
Steve
