movie making software for mac?

im looking for a specific one i used a while ago but cannot find again. It’s not imovie and i actually think it might be more suitable to call it a photo-type-software because that’s how i remember using it–streaming numerous photos together so it acted like a movie. It has a bunch of video effects like a lightning bolt you can move about the photos, rain, and making the photo look old. It has the usual transition effects and also an extensive list of sound effects, which i remember when added to the stream portrayed rounded rectangles with the sound waves in them. I can’t find it on the apple site and i’m nearly positive that it is only for macs. Thanks for any thoughts.
