Okay, so we should all know that there’s a contest being held on youtube. Well I was going to make a video with some awesome effects! But I didn’t know how to import the effect files to movie maker. And knowing that the files are .mov i tried converting them to .avi files. unfortunately the converter said there was an error. So I’m looking for some help with this problem. PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!

1. use format Factory to convert the file..
its free and user friendly- drag and drop thingy.

2. for effects you’ve to select a clip – drag and drop it in the bottom movie clips bar and then select the effects from left panel.
so instead of Movie maker ,you can try any of the following free softwares for video editing, they provide more functions than Movie maker.
