Bare with me because I think the last time I saw this was like 12 years ago.

So these two or three kids make this space ship out of like… some amusement park twirly ride thing. That’s all I really remember about the beginning and the middle bits are blurry but they (or just the one kid, I can’t remember) manage to get on some space ship with this brother/sister alien duo. The girl alien has really red lips and bad make-up — and supposedly they’re grounded or something — oh! and the guy alien blinked a lot and did weird voices. Not that that helps much.

Well the one part the kid gives the girl alien a harmonica and she chews it, and she flirts a lot with the one kid, and then the guy alien dances a lot. Then the father alien comes and is all disgusting and gross and yelling and waving his multiple arms…

I hope you could make some sort of sense out of that. It’s probably a long shot but I would REALLY like to know what the heck this movie is.

It’s called The Explorers. It starred River Phoenix, Ethan Hawke, and Jason Presson. It was made in 1985.
