My son is 11 and watches all the mod movies. I got him Oblivion for pc (already had xbox sigh) and I know he’s going to want to start making those movies. What else will he need? How does he start?

You need a program called FRAPS (fraps.com). it allows you to record live gameplay and take screenshots. there is a free version, and a registered version (one payment of $ 37). when playing the recorded file on the free version, it will advertise the website while playing it, on the payed version it will not, you can also record longer. After your done recording, you have to compress the file (make it file smaller), the recorded gameplays by Fraps are about 3 gigs for every 2-4 mins, so you use VirtualDub to make it abou 100mb< which is what it nees to be to be uploaded onto youtube. hope this helps.
