i have curly hair, and ive always wanted to make beach waves, like movie stars have. the problem is, i read that you need to scrunch your hair, but when i scrunch my hair, it gets even more curly! and if i straighten it first, just to scrunch it, it doesnt scrunch. how do i make loose waves in curly hair?

Using large size curling iron (1″ to 1-1/4′) should help. After shampoo and conditioning, put on styling gel and dry your hair by brushing your hair frequently while drying. When the hair is completely dry, section your hair and use the curling iron to make it wavy instead of curly.
