Free video editing software?

Question by : Free video editing software?
Me and my friend want to make an abridged series. I don’t have a mac. Windows movie making software is out of the question and I hate trials. I need a FREE program that doesn’t have water marks. I also hate how most of the free programs dont have a timeline for audio and it’s not easy to cut sections of video and audio. I want a program so that it’s really easy to cut stuff up and has some special effects and a timeline for audio that shows audio intensity. If you don’t know what I’m talking about disregard that last part.
