Question by : What is the best way to partition a hard drive?
i have bought a 500GB external hard drive and i want to partition it into 3 parts (say 400GB for movies, 50GB for photos and 50GB for documents) and also make it into a FAT32 format. how do i do it? can i do it via Windows? or is there a better software?
exactly how do i do it? how do i partition it? and can i make it to a FAT23 format?

Right click on My computer> select manage> then from the left pane> select disk management. Here you can easily partition your disks.
