Question by Jerry: What’s a good animation software, for an intermediate artist?
My original youtube dream, was to make animated shorts. However that dream was blown when “windows movie maker” decided to disable its visual component ( don’t ask how this happened.. it just stopped one day ).
Now that I am finishing college I want to start again.
I am 18. Though I have no formal training in art.. I have been drawing since infancy ( deviantart / vince ) so, at best.. I would say I am an intermediate artist.
I would like a software that allows me to draw using the mouse, animate… and MOST importantly, be able to upload the finished videos on a site liek youtube.
I am prepared to spend hours animating if necessary.
( P.S. is Plastic Animation Software.. any good ?)
remember, i don’t own a tablet, or a scanner.

My school taught us on a program called Toon Boom. I’m pretty sure they sell a stripped down version for under 100 bucks.
You can never go wrong with Flash, and if you build up some skills with that, you might actually be able to get a pretty good job.
