Should I take my daughter to the hospital?
Question by : Should I take my daughter to the hospital?
My daughter Kennedy seems very ill to me. She and her brother, Parker, are going to be 4 on Tuesday. Well last night she woke up me and my husband and told us she wasn’t feeling well. So we gave her some juice and let her sleep in our room. This morning she didn’t wake up until 11am (which is like 3 hours later than normal) and she was crying when she woke up. She said she hurt all over. Her fever this morning was 98.9 and tonight it was 101.5. She’s mostly slept on the couch and watched movies today. We kept trying to give her some food and we made sure she always had a drink. She asked to take like 4 bubble baths today. Which is more than she takes in a week. I called the pediatrician and they said they are packed out and can’t see her until her fever is 104. I was mad. They said it’s not to serious and to just keep making her drink a lot to stay hydrated. So we have. Do you think we should continue to do that, or should we take her to ER? She doesn’t want to spend her birthday in the hospital but her health is way more important and I understand that. I just don’t know what to do.

If shes asking for baths she is burning up you need to get her help emediately… Prolonged high temperatures in small children can cause all kinds of hoorible medical prablems later on in life. you need to keep her cool even if she says shes cold.Go to the nerest er its not worth taking a chance! Good Luck!
