How do I transfer a VCD movie to a DVD format that my DVD-RAM compatible player can read?
Question by cantalope: How do I transfer a VCD movie to a DVD format that my DVD-RAM compatible player can read?
Somebody from overseas sent me movies recorded on VCD’s. My combo vcr/dvd player cannot play them. I have a brand new Dell desktop computer with a 16X DVD+/-RW Drive. The new computer plays the VCD’s just fine. How do I go about recording the content of the VCD’s on DVD’s that my combo player can read. The combo vcr/dvd player is a Panasonic PV-D4734S. The owner’s manual says that it is DVD-RAM compatible. It makes no mention of DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, or DVD+RW. So I need my Dell computer to record the movie that is currently on a VCD onto a DVD that my player can read. I have never recorded/burned a DVD or even a CD before, so this is all very foreign to me. What type/brand of DVD is best? Thank you so much for any help.
Thank you tomandjerry s. Do you think my dvd player which is dvd-ram compatible will be able to play dvd-r or +r discs?
