animation software?

Question by toodles_1399: animation software?
I have a panasonic Digital camcorder, and i am doing a project for my school.

I along w/ my group have to hypothetically teach our class a chapter from Jeremiah.

so i came up with the idea to make a movie (documentary style) of the chapter; some talking, some animated battle, etc.

The problem i have is i dont know how to make a battle scene. the logical explanation is animation, but i dont know how to make animations. I am willing to get any software and learn it, i am patient, so “large programs” are not a problem.

What program can help me accomplish the animations?

can anyone offer any insight? thanks.

Best program is clearly Macromedia Flash…not easy however.
