Beretta 25th Anniversary M9 First Impressions – FateofDestinee
I just got home with a brand new 25th anniversary Beretta M9. I couldn’t resist making a video regarding my first impressions of the weapon, but later, I will add a more detailed video after I’ve put this gun through some range time. Functionally, the M9 is the same as the Beretta 92FS; however, there are a few small cosmetic differences. Firstly, they have some different markings (the M9 in place of the 92FS is the most obvious) including the absence of the warning label referring the handler to the user’s manual before operating the gun. I felt that was ironic because mine didn’t actually come with a user’s manual (although, I did find the US Armed Forces user’s manual for the M9 online). The last difference is that the angle of the rear strap on the 92FS is deeper and more aggressive than that of the M9. That allows the FS to have a higher grip. I like this weapon for a number of reasons: I love the solid grip. It’s large, but I still find it comfortable instead of cumbersome. I also like the weight of the gun. The frame is aluminum and the slide and barrel are blued steel. I feel this balances the weight well from front to back without making the gun super heavy. I also love the quick take down for this weapon. Due to the frame being a softer metal (aluminum) than the slide and barrel …
