Question by Prometheus: Can I turn off scripts on Internet Explorer?
I keep getting a message from Internet Explorer saying that “scripts on this page are causing Internet Explorer to run slowly. Stop running scripts on this page?” It also says that lack of action could cause IE to be unresponsive. Can I stop running scripts on Internet Explorer so that I stop getting this pop-up?

Yes you can turn it off.
Go to Tools, Internet Options, Security.
Click on Custom Level..
Nearly at the bottom is a Scripting section. You can disable the options or make it prompt you.
