I’m a dj from philadelphia area and I have always loved giving and perfoming arts, so this christmas I decided to put those 2 things together and put on a play I wrote back in high school that everyone loved including my drama teacher for christmas and 100% of the ticket proceeds will go to a charity that helps out the less fortunate around the holidays. But my problem is that I can seem to find one or how to get in touch with anyone to find a good charity that is not a fraud and pocketing the money. I was going to sell this script as a matter of fact my former teacher offered to buy it back in high school for $ 5,000. I refused because it is my first play ever written and I would rather hold onto it. Like the businessman who makes his first $ 100 bill and frames it, it has setimental value and i figure if she loved t enough to buy it out of pocket for $ 5,000 why cant I just put it on myself and donate all of the money to someone who really needs the money. So if somebody can name a few charitable organizations i would much appreciate it. Thanks. DJ Kutler

World Vision is a great legitimate charity. But, you might make more if you go for an organization that’s well known, like the Red Cross or Salvation Army or a local food bank. Anything like that would be great. And it’s great you’re doing such a caring thing :-).
