I don’t know what any of these people’s faces look like.
We were sitting near one another for about two hours, but if I had tried to talk about the movie with them afterwards, they probably wouldn’t have found that strange and awkward.
Various other people were around us as well.
Of course, on their way out, people mulled around down and out the exits without any substantial interpersonal contact.
Basically I’m pointing out a lack of community.

The movie was playing when I took this photo.
I used the flash by mistake. (I wouldn’t have done that on purpose.)
To avoid making the same mistake again, I probably won’t ever try to use my camera while a movie is playing.
The flash probably wasn’t very noticeable —
at least, for people who weren’t sitting right beside me.
If I did disturb anyone, I doubt they would have actually said anything to me.

Seventh-grader Heejung Chung walked into the Apple Store in Palo Alto on Wednesday evening with a violin in a hard case slung over her back, but spent the next hour playing the iPad on her shoulder. Heejung was invited to attend a workshop with nine other students hosted by Apple and presented by Ge Wang, whose company Smule created the iPad app Magic Fiddle.
