Celebrating 121 years of Maifest
One of Brenham’s oldest traditions and its new look will be held here Friday and Saturday. The 121st annual Maifest will continue the tradition of hundreds of young costumed participants and elaborate coronations. But organizers are putting a special emphasis on making it even more family-friendly.

Tapestry in Concert — 7 p.m. May 6. Vocal and hand bell ensemble Tapestry, presents “Cosmos: A Musical Journey Through the Elements,” featuring contemporary and classical music, all surrounding the theme of nature’s elements. A freewill donation benefits Smile Train.
