Christmas Dinner Recipe: Gravy – I am so going to cheat here. By the time you get to the gravy making stage, you will be frazzled, everyone will be hungry and all we want is something delicious and quick. Here’s how. Ingredients: * 2 onions finely chopped * 2 tsp cornflower * 1 cup turkey juices from under cooked turkey * Turkey/chicken gravy granules (Yes, really!) Method: 1. Pour turkey fat into a saucepan, add onions and gently sauté for 8 minutes. 2. Add cornflower and stir in thoroughly. 3. Make up the gravy granuules stock and slowly pour 1½ parts gravy stock into saucepan, stirring continuously. 4. Let it cook for 5 minutes then whisk (use an electric one if you have it) until smooth and glossy. 5. Transfer to hot jug for serving.
