Do Indian movies portray true picture of Indian culture?
Question by DAR: Do Indian movies portray true picture of Indian culture?
In my opinion it is not so. In fact most of Indian movie makers, in their greed to make maximum money, are making formula type movies and using sex as a major tool to make these movies attractive. They have left Hollywood far behind and it is not possible for an Asian to watch an Indian movie with his family. They have gone so far that they have started attacking the respect of relations and undressing the hidden nature of relationships. The freedom of expression has certain limits of course. I’m sure no one likes to be introduced by his child as ‘meet him he is fuker of my mother’. These people are also encouraging legally and morally prohibited relationship of man and woman which is causing social, legal, psychological and medical problems. The culture they portray in their movies is quite contrary to the Asian and particularly to the real Indian cultural and its values. This has put whole the Indian society into great deal of confusion and jeopardy. It is a tragedy that Indian government is a silent spectator in all this dirty game. Why? Perhaps film producing mafia has become so strong that it can remove every hurdle, which comes in its way, by hook and crook. Shouldn’t it be stopped?

It does. Young people court each other by dancing around trees in gardens.
