Question by Head: Does anyone find disneys newest princess movie the princess and the frog a bit odd?
I just find it weird seeing as there has never been an African American princess in history and the whole concept is just weird. Do you think it has anything to do with Obama becoming president? I personally think that Disney has been so politically incorrect in the past that they’re trying to make up for it by finally making a princess movie that gives an African American a lead role. I’d love to hear your opinions on this.

A bit odd, but long overdue. IMO…it is a mainstream way of trying to crossover into another market that they are losing, and the fact that they end up being frogs doesn’t exactly tickle my funny bone.

The concept is not weird, and it should have been done a long time ago. They could have used a better context, like The Wiz or maybe even with an African twist.

Oh well…
