I have a ton of old comics that I drew when I was younger, now I’d like to re-make them into an animated series. I don’t want to be famous or anything, I just want to make it for friends and anyone else that wants to see and put it on something like Youtube.

I know most people use Flash, but is it easy to learn? I don’t want to spend a ton of time mastering a new software.

I was thinking of just drawing it frame-by-frame either in Paint or Photoshop/GIMP and basically making an animated GIF (I’ve made GIFs in the past), then recording character voices and adding them in to Windows Movie Maker later.

I want to have a $ 0 budget
I am willing to spend like 10 hours to make a 3 minute cartoon, not 100 hours.

I’ve never used flash, but I think you’d be better off going with that than trying to do it frame by frame in photoshop. Just doing simple emoticons can take hours, and that animation is only a few seconds long.
