gun shot wounds in the army..?

okay so, if you’ve ever seen the movie She’s The Man, they use tampons to stop nose bleeds. i was wondering in the army or i guess anywhere you might get shot, do they keep like tampons in the first aid kit to stop the bleeding? think about it.. makes sense. its like a plug for the wound hole. just a thought, im curious. and if not, maybe its a good suggestion that needs to be brought to their attention.

We carry bandage kits for that, but we will use anything clean available
