certain venue and the game will switch to concert mode. Instead of making a rhythm game, the obvious and cliche choice, the developers did something different. Players continue to control Hannah, strutting about the stage while the song plays. Around the stage are six areas: microphone, guitar, keyboard, drums, dancing and a special section. Players walk to the areas and activate them, jumping into a touch screen microgame, mimicking playing the instrument.
The concert venues do have the benefit of not looking terrible. There’s some nice effects like a video screen going through Hannah Montana photos and all the various stages are fairly well detailed. That’s true for most of the environments, though the character models are too nondescript to really tell apart. Hannah, her best friend Lily, and her brother dressed in drag look exactly the same.
