Question by JY: Has anyone seen the movie “Redemption” about Tookie Williams?
I am reading his book with several of my classes, and the kids want to watch this movie when we’re done. I haven’t really answered them yet because I haven’t seen the movie. Do you think it would be appropriate for 7th and 8th graders? I think it was made for TV, which would indicate that it wouldn’t be too graphic or anything.
I figured I’d ask here to get an idea of whether to tell them no or maybe, then if I can find it I’ll preview it myself and make a decision.

from what i can remember its not that bad. i mean its gonna be some rough parts considering the whole premise but with a warning before hand id go for it. it was made for tv and jamie does a real good job
