for a tv class we have to make trailers for movies but switch it up so it makes it seem like a different emotion. can i do that with madagascar as a mystery, horror, love story? any ideas… or any other easy movies to do that.

My favorite example of this kind of exercise is this:
I think it is most fun to take a child’s movie and make it seem adult. I haven’t seen Madagascar – but I bet Beauty and the Beast would be a great movie to edit because it already has so many dark elements.
In general it’s easier to make a trailer as action or horror because you can create the mood with fast-paced editing regardless of what clips you are using.
Quick question: How are you getting the footage from the movie onto your computer? I’ve been wanting to play around with trailer editing but I can’t figure out how to get my dvds onto the computer.
