hiiii I am a citizen of India… And have write a script for a movie… I have no agent through which I can sell my script to Hollywood….I have heard for registration in Writers guild of America … But some of my friends said that I cannot write for a Hollywood movie because I am not the citizen of America and I have never been to America…and also do not have any family friend in america… In Bollywood( Film industry of India) writers and scriptwriters are paid very less…and considered the extra person for film while they are the most important person in film after director….
Plzz suggest some way..

Hollywood could care less about where you come from. They just want a great script. However, it may be easier to sell a script if you live in Hollywood, because you can try to pitch the idea directly to studios. You’ll probably need an agent. At the very bottom of that page is a link to a competition/contest for beginners run by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts & Sciences ( http://www3.oscars.org/nicholl/index.html ). Each year, they run a new contest. You can submit your script there, and if you win they pay a prize of about $ 30,000. And yes, they are legitimate. It’s the same Academy which gives out the Oscars.
