Someone told me that movie theaters make all their money on concessions sales? Do they get a percentage of ticket sales at all? Do they pay a fee for the rights to show a movie? How does it work?

They pay a fee for the use of the movie, they pay building fees, they pay officer payroll and employee payroll along with standard bills. They make income on the ads you see before a film, a small percent of ticket sales and a rediculous amount from concessions and game room sales.
