I dream of being a writer of films, how would i get my films on the big screen?

Select a theme.
Prepare a story outline.
Develop the story, preferably with a sub-plot.
Put it in writing.
Edit it re-edit it until you are satisfied.
Prepare the script and take copies.
You may register it under intellectual property.
Then keep meeting possible producers or directors or the middlemen to reach it to the cine industry.
