my video is on my desktop but whenever i go to import media files and then desktop it does not show my video…it does however let me import photos just not videos helpp!!!!

a guy answered this but i don’t know how… can you help me?
how do i do that can you tell me step by step?

Make sure the video that you want to upload is WMV files or AVI file.
If your video is not one of these file
you can convert it to the right file first and then you can upload it to Window Movie Maker.
Find some free software at google

I will give you a link to a converter program I use
it;s speedbit video converter
to know the file type just look at the file extensiom
example… an mp3 file will be called (name of song).mp3 etc.
speedbit video converter is number 21 on the list but you can try others if you like

it works better if you move the video to your MY Videos folder after you convert it
