How to hold the rights to a script?

Question by Checkers- the -Wolf: How to hold the rights to a script?
Ok, here it goes I have two scripts I’m working on is a pilot episode for a cartoon and the other is an animated feature film. But one thing I’m concerned about is what happens to the scripts after they’re sold. I’m the type of writer who likes to leave things as is…with the exception of minor edits and such. Long story short, I’m very protective of my stories and characters and want them remain the way I wrote them. I’m open to suggestions but draw the line at making changes to the plot, characters, etc…

I know there’s a lot of screenwriters that prefer to keep their scripts as is like mine.

Any way to hold the rights to a script?
