A movie director, Tenma, announces at an awards ceremony that his next film will help save lives. Later, Tenma visits Black Jack and explains that he wants to film the doctor performing surgery on a patient with collagen disease. Black Jack at first refuses, but is slowly won over by the director’s strong sense of purpose. He wants to screen the movie to doctors around the world to prove that the disease is not incurable. It is revealed that the patient is actually Tenma’s son.
